School and Soccer

Well it's that time of the year again... time for kids to head back to school. I have mixed feelings about my girls starting school. The second I drop them off at school I miss them, and I can't help but be a little sad at seeing how fast they're growing up. At the same time it's exciting watching them grow and experience new things. Laura started preschool last Tues. That girl has been bouncing off the walls with excitement at the fact that she finally gets to go to school! I can't help but be excited with her!

Katelyn started 1st grade last Wed. She was excited, but also a little nervous. "Mom, what if I can't remember how to read, and what if I forget all my numbers?" Cute little thing! I kept telling her she was going to do great!

Katelyn had her first soccer game last week. Tim is thrilled that Katelyn wants to play a sport! He was all about going to the sports store to get her decked out in everything she'd need, from shin guards to soccer cleats. The day of her first game he left work early so he could be there to watch her play. Her team didn't get a single goal but they had a good time. I was laughing a little on the way home, because Katelyn was talking about how cool it would be if she could have some bears or some tigers. She wanted to bring them to her next game and use them to scare the girls on the other team so that her team would have a chance at scoring a few goals. At least she's got a healthy imagination!

Karen, I am glad that your girls are excited about school. I start school tomorrow and I am excited also. I think that Ed is glad to have me back in school as well. Mary also started school at U of U. Here is her phone number, maybe Tim can call her so that she can have his number handy if she ever needs anything since he works in SLC. Or if he knows a cute guy! Just kidding! You know me and matchmaking! 307-250-2369

Your girls are so adorable! I think they need to experience Wyoming in the fall.
