The second night of camping Katelyn woke up cold, so Tim had her take his place in the double sleeping bag next to Laura. Tim then attempted to climb into Katelyn's child sized Cinderella sleeping bag. That's an image I won't soon forget... Tim trying to sleep in a tiny little pink princess sleeping bag! What a great dad!

Sunday morning was Tim's birthday. The kids and I sent him off on the 4 wheeler to go scout for deer and buffalo. While he was gone we packed up camp and got everything ready to load in the truck. When Tim got back he told us he'd found the buffalo herd and two massive 30 in.+ bucks. On our way out we found them again and boy they were huge!

I had told the girls there where horny toads out there, and that if we found one we could try and catch it. We looked and looked and finally on our last day we found one. The girls thought he was so cute and decided to name him Spike. After a few pictures Spike was set free. Later in the car Laura asked me, "Mommy, will we get to see Spike in Heaven?"

A good time was had by all, however Tim and I are now even more determined to make this our last "tent" camping trip. Cross your fingers... camper trailer here we come!

Glad you guys had fun...mice and all:). Those horny toad pictures remind me so much of when we were little. Oooh. Good times. To bad you didn't have your camera handy to snap a shot of Tim in the princess sleeping bag! Haha.
It looks like you had fun on your camping trip. We went tent camping for a few nights a few weeks ago. I don't I will be doing again for a long time. I don't know what we were thinking with a 3 year old and 6 month old twins. Not the best time. We are looking forward to seeing your family in September. We have a blog too. Come check it out it's http://thebrantinghamfam.blogspot.com

Nice!! I would have paid big bucks to see Tim in that pretty little sleeping bag. Where's that video camera when you need it, right?
I'm with you on the camper though -- sleeping on the ground is so overrated.
