We even had lunch on the canoe.
Grandma and I took turns riding in the canoe and pushing Thomas in the stroller along the river trail.
Grandpa took us all the way out to where the river empties into the lake. It was an overcast day and waves coming in from the lake were getting a little big. I wouldn't necessarily say that they compared with Deadliest Catch on the Bering Sea, but the girls and I were getting pretty freaked out! However the screaming didn't start until we started seeing giant carp jumping out of the water! Earlier, Grandpa and I had tried to make the canoe ride a little more entertaining to the girls by talking about how there could quite possibly be alligators and fish with very sharp teeth swimming in the water! (Maybe we went a little over board, but we were having fun!)
Anyways, when we got home Katelyn decided to draw a picture of our little adventure.... notice the fish have massive sharp teeth! I asked her to tell me about the picture and she informed me that I was the one screaming!

Can you blame me?! The giant fish that jumped out of the water has deadly sharp teeth and the're only inches from my head! :)

Haha! No I don't blame you one bit! If I had been on the boat I would have been screaming loudest of all - I hate carp!
