Bear Finds A Home

Once upon a time earlier this summer, there was a giant bear.  This "little" bear's one and only wish was to find a little girl who would take him home and love him forever.  One day while he was sitting slumped over in a giant bin at Costco, a beautiful woman came along and started looking through the bin at all the bears.  She was looking for the perfect bear to take home to her little girl who was having a birthday.  "I hope she picks me!" thought the "little" bear.  (Voice must be read in a slow deep tone ;)   Finally after she'd looked at all the different colors of bears, the woman picked out a cute cream colored bear.  "Oh Boy! Oh Boy!" thought the "little" bear.  The woman picked him up and put him carefully in the cart.  The bear enjoyed his ride around Costco.  He liked looking at all the items on the shelves.  "Dis is fun!" he thought.  Everyone smiled at him and he smiled back.  Before Bear knew it, they were headed to the big doors that led them outside.  Bear shook with excitement, (or maybe it was just the cart rattling his big furry body).  The sun was warm and bright.  Bear wished he could close his eyes. The sun was so bright!  Bear relaxed in the sunshine while the woman pushed the cart to her car.

When they got to the car the woman opened the door and helped bear inside.  "Tank you!" said Bear as  the woman buckled him up.

Bear watched out his window as they drove away.  His jaw dropped,  "Wow!" thought Bear. "Dis is amazing!"

The woman drove to a pretty little house.  She got out of the car and came around to get bear.  She carried him into the house, sat him on a chair, and placed a tea cup in front of him.  "Now you wait here and be good.  Sarah will be home soon, and then I'll come back to get you in a little while and take you to the party."  Bear didn't know what to think.  "Why am I here?" he thought, "For tea parties?"  Later that day Sarah came home.  "AAAAHHHHH!" she screamed, when she saw him sitting in her kitchen.  Bear sat in his chair and didn't move.  He was nervous and scared.  He wasn't sure what to do.

A while later the woman came back to pick him up and take him home.  She smiled at him and said it was time for the party.  "Oh boy, I'm so excited!" he thought as they drove to the party.  When they got to the house the woman carried him inside and placed him on a chair next to a big birthday cake and presents.  "Now you wait here and I'll go get Laura." said the woman.  The rest of the family gathered around next to Bear and waited for Laura to come in.  They smiled at him. Suddenly Bear heard someone running down the hall.  "I think it's my Laura." Bear thought.  All at once a little girl came bounding into the room.  Bear gasped!  "It is!"   She ran to Bear with a big smile on her face and jumped into his lap and hugged him tight!  Bear was so happy!  At last his wish had come true!  Bear finally had a home with a little girl who would love him forever!

                                                                     THE END
