Family Game Night

"Can we have family game night tonight?"... I love it when my kids ask that question. It makes me feel like Tim and I are doing something right. I just pray they feel the same way when they're teenagers! Some of my favorite memories of when I was younger, were of family trips to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Byron, Wyo. I loved it when Aunts, Uncles and cousins would get together at Grandma Doty's house for a game night. Everyone would gather round the kitchen table and play games like Rook, Pony Express, and Skip Bo, which was the family favorite. Whether they played or not, everyone would laugh and have a good time just being together. It was the family togetherness that made it fun, and that's what I hope I can instill in my kids every time we have 'family game night'! There are a lot of moments in my childhood I wish that I wish I could go back and enjoy again, and those game nights at Grandma Doty's are some of my favorites!

"Our Family Game Night"
I hope these moments our family spends together are going to be looked back on by my kids as some of their favorites. I know they will be for me!

So much fun! I can't wait until we can start doing family game night. If we started it now, we would have two babies eating the game. haha

That is so sweet! Family game nights are the best. I'm a big fan of Skip-Bo too. Right now Kate is loving Uno Attack. I hope they want to play with us when they're teenagers too. That age scares me already!

Some of my best memories were made at Grandma Doty's, too! I remember those games so well. Thanks for the reminder!
